Summer in New York is a parade of outdoor performances. Given how much New Yorkers enjoy their city on the longest days of the year, most events have become annual traditions. Step out of Royalton Park Avenue wearing a flowing sundress and head to any of these superb events.

The biggest summer festival in New York is SummerStage. You’ll find concerts, performances and great vibes in every borough of the city. SummerStage brings together artists of every genre, as well as cultural events. Performances take place in parks around the city, but a large number of them happen in Central Park.

Lincoln Center’s annual Mozart festival has evolved into a cultural event featuring contemporary music, dance, films and theatrical productions. This is a perfect chance to see world-renowned artist in a world-renowned venue.

Tickets: Free, buy you need to wait in line at select distribution points on the day of performance or register for lottery ticket options.
If you can only attend one NYC summer event, it should be Shakespeare in the Park. Not only is it a beloved New York tradition, but also a chance to see up-and-coming actors performing timeless Shakespearean plays.

Lincoln Center knows that summer is the time to be outside. This is why its Out of Doors festival complements the Mostly Mozart festival.
