New York City’s celebration of all elements of design accumulates every year at NYCxDESIGN. The annual event showcases exhibitions, workshops, open studios, product launches, roundtable discussions, and more citywide, attracting hundreds of thousands of designers and enthusiasts across the globe.
This year’s NYCxDESIGN takes place May 11-23 througout the city’s five boroughs, with most events free and open to the public.

This fashion show held at the Brooklyn Public Library showcases the work of 15 aspiring fashion designers that attended the BKLYN Fashion Academy’s 12-week intensive. See the students transform models into walking works of art. May 11, 7-10 pm. Brooklyn Public Library, 10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn
Enjoy afternoon tea and an insider’s perspective of “Jewelry of Ideas: Gifts from the Susan Grant Lewin Collection.” Celebrate contemporary jewelry with Susan Grant Lewin and over 100 modern and contemporary jewelry designers. One of the largest multi-brand collections in luxury design, ddc unveils a curated selection from Salone on May 18. The display will include custom pieces designed for the occasion, as well as the limited edition Black Belt vase collaboration between Murano glass pioneer Venini and the beloved architect Peter Marino, who will be in attendance. Join Genspace and four panelists to discuss how biotechnology is transforming living organisms into the next medium for design. See how artists, designers and companies are using biology in fashion, products and architecture.
